Mouse Replacements?

I recently decided to try a non-mouse option for moving my cursor around, a nice new Logitech TrackBall. So far, so good. I’ve tried to move the whole thing a couple times, mouse-style, but for the most part it’s working out great. I’ve gotten used to selecting text and such pretty quickly. On a related not, the iGesture Pad from FingerWorks seems like a pretty nifty invention too. Too bad it costs so much.

Back from Nashville

I got back in from Nashville last night around 10 o’clock. I was down there for Mandy’s dad’s 50th birthday and the whole weekend was great. Mandy and I flew in on Friday afternoon, unbeknownst to Doug. When we walked in to Mandy’s “What are you old farts up to?”, he seemed surprised and shocked to see us. The look on his face made the whole trip worth it.

Over the next couple days, there was an excellent party, some golf, and a lot of just hanging around the house relaxing. Mandy and I hit the Loveless Cafe (the biscuits are stellar) for a great lunch on Sunday under perfect weather.. It was just wonderful. I really love Nashville and I could definitely see living there. The people are great, there’s a lot to do, and I was very comfortable there. As Mandy put it, some places just resonate with you. Nashville is definitely one of those places.

GeoBlog

GeoBlog has to be one of the cooler things I’ve seen in the blogging space. It’s a something-close-to-real-time map of different blogs that contain information that can pin-point the location of the writer. When someone posts and pings weblogs.com, GeoBlog picks up the post and updates the map on the homepage. Very cool.
