A hydrangea that lives in the driveway to our apartment building. I like the contrast between the flowers and the trunk, but I think I blew out the highlights in the flowers just a bit. Oh well.

Old Dutch Church / Tree Window
First off, I have to give credit to another photographer for coming up with this idea. I don’t remember the gentleman’s name (I’ll go find out soon), but he has a small art exhibit at the framing shop in Tarrytown at the moment. His effort was executed with more precision, but the general idea is the same. What do you think?
[update] the original photographer was Rick Prokop.
Exit to nowhere and Chimping…
Another shot of my garage in the morning before the daily commute. It really is quite a dreary way to start the day.
On a side note, I’ve been hanging around in the forums over on fredmiranda.com and kept hearing about “chimping”. I had no idea what they were talking about, but finally, a video explains it all.
Wood door @ Stone Barn
This is the door into the sample garden at the Blue Hill @ Stone Barns restaurant where Mandy and I have yet to eat. I came across this near the end of the day while Mandy’s parents were in town, the weekend after we were engaged. I don’t think I did it justice, but the light after our geocaching adventure was wonderful; the sun was hiding behing some clouds on and off and nearing the Palisades on the other side of the river.
Canon 10D : 28mm : 1/350s : f/11 : ISO 400
The parking garage next to my apartment building has this gloomy, dank feel to it that I was trying to capture with this photograph. I walk through it every morning on my way to work, and after a nice walk in the sun the garage, the actual garage is often a bit.. foreboding. This is spot #11, where a neighboor parks. Most spots in the garage have assorted stuff in front of them, giving you a minor glimpse into the owner’s life.
I’m still not sure what the chain’s for though…
