A neat application of the Processing toolset comes in the form of a Zombie infection simulation from Kevan Davis. Be sure to check out the rework by Matt Cordes. Both are excellent.

Good luck getting this in the Northeast
If by hilarious I mean incredibly painful. The Brits are considering a new device that would allow authorities to track all sorts of information about how you’re driving. This could easily turn into a scheme to fine you whenever you speed, park illegally, or do anything deemed bad in your car. Here in CT, where traffic often moves at twice the legal speed limit on freeways, a device like this would likely be met with massive disapproval. I’m not a fan, as the whole thing seems quite overbearing.
3D Breakout?
Bill just pointed me at a neat flash game called SubWave. It’s very very addictive. Play at your own risk.
Thomas Edison, eat your heart out
I just stumbled across an article on boston.com about replacing incandescent light bulbs with LEDs. They eat much less power, they don’t put off heat (those two go hand in hand), and they could save us a tremendous amount of power. I also like the light they produce, unlike flourescent lights. Too bad they’re still so expensive.
