Looks like I might be doing more serious work with AJAX (that AJAX is so hot right now), and I stumbled upon Rico, a nice little open framework that I should be able to sit on top of. I think it’s time for an IrreversibleProcess upgrade…

The moving sale is pretty much done and now we’re starting to get ready to actually do the move. Since we’re moving from 1200 sq ft to 600 sq ft, we’ve been doing a lot of reading and thinking about what to move, how to use it, and how to get more than one use out of things if possible. For instance, I ditched my tv and we’re going to run tv through the 24″ Dell LCD monitor I picked up recently and sound through the computer. Either way, Mandy has been finding all sorts of good things to read on the subject, so I thought I’d catalog them here so we can find them again later:

Mandy and I are moving in the near future and need to offload a few
things before we make the transition to a much smaller space.  If

• Toshiba 34″ HD-Ready Television.  Cinema Series, 34HDX82. Minor scratches on cabinet, but otherwise like new. $750 or best offer.  Great TV, just no room in the new place.
• Full-size bed with creme Victorian-style steel head and foot board.  $150 or best offer. Sold!
• Bare bones Cherry & Black Salamander Synergy 30 w/ TV island.  Holds a very
  heavy 34″ HD TV nicely.  Few minor nicks and scratches.  $250 for both, or best offer. Sold!
• Four shelf Atlantis Allegro audio rack.  Very sturdy, nice yellow veneer and steel tubular legs.  $75 OBO.
• Glass-topped
  steel framed office desk. 60″w x 30″d x 29″h. Giant top, great
  condition.  Looks quite modern.  $100 OBO. Sold!
• Herman Miller Aeron chair, size B.  Castors, no front tilt.  Great condition, $250 OBO. Sold!
• IKEA TV stand.  Holds a 32″ TV comfortably, four shelves.  $25 OBO.
• Four shelf, split media holder.  Holds ~ 200 CD / 75 DVD /  100 VHS.  $25 OBO. Sold!
• Couch and Chair-and-a-half.  5 years old, some cat damage to the chair
  which a slip cover would take care of.  Very comfortable and great
  for taking naps.  $250 for couch, $100 for chair, $300 for the
  pair.
• Two nice IKEA book cases, similar to these,
  but
  with feet.  Close to 8′ tall and provide lots of storage. 
  Birch exterior with white shelf dividers and light gray
  backboard.  $125 for the pair, $75 each. Sold!
• Other various bookcases that we’ll give away. Given Away!
• Playstation 2 with various games and a USB steering wheel controller for Gran Turismo and other racing games. $50 OBO. Sold!
• Two wide 10-runner ELFA frames each with a 3 runner, three 2 runner and a 1 runner wide mesh drawer each.  $75 per unit or $125 for both.
• 4-cup Kitchen-Aid coffee maker.  $5.
• 10-cup Cafe Duo Krups Coffee and Espresso maker.  $10. Sold!
• Steel 4′-tall restaurant-style standalone shelving.  Handy for pantry organization, if you have a pantry.  $25. Sold!
• HP
  PhotoSmart 7960 photo printer.  Comes with some spare cartridges
  and some paper..  Great photo printer, I just replaced it with a
  wide-format Epson.  $50. Sold!
• Beautiful old dresser that needs some love.  Very nice mirror and overall work, just needs to be refurbed a bit.  Sold!

By the way, we’re just moving up the street for those who don’t know. :)

Just upgraded the blog to work with the 1.8 RC1 of dasBlog. So far, so good, though there are a few quirks.

• I can’t get the fancy new title-and-date-based permalinks to work.
• FreeTextBox has a nasty interaction with Firefox’s
  search-as-you-type feature. I have it so you don’t have to hit / before
  typing and in the Design view, Firefox tries to find exactly what I’m
  trying to type into the text window.
• Design view still writes really bad HTML, using <br> to
  represent paragraph breaks instead of <p> tags. I bet this is a
  limitation of IE and Firefox, not FreeTextBox per se, but it makes
  Design-view mostly useless for me.
