Photoshop CS2 and 1GB of RAM
Just found a handy tip over on The Luminous Landscape if you’re running
Photoshop CS2 with 1GB of RAM or more. Since my computers at home
have 1GB and 2GB respectively, this might work nicely for me.
I’m uninstalling Google’s Web Accelerator as I type, as I just found it breaks Windows XP Network Places, specifically over Front Page Server Extensions or WebDAV. There’s probably a way to disable it for the addresses in question, but I’ve been more and more skeeved out by the general principal of the product, so away it goes. It certainly made some sites I visit quite a bit quicker, especially those that are especially graphically intense, but I don’t think it’s worth it…

Invites and Apples
I’m sitting in the Apple Store in the Palisades Mall, waiting for Mandy to finish up poking around in the Pottery Barn, spending a little time drooling over a 23″ display. This morning was spent working on wedding invites; Mandy hand-writing the addresses on the two envelopes and me printing and cutting little inserts with directions and hotel info. It’s taking a while to finish, but I think it’ll be worth it; the invites look great! They should be sent off tomorrow morning, if everything goes according to plan…
